Vancouver wasn’t completely new to me, but this trip felt different because this time I was traveling with my husband and our three-year-old daughter. We stayed in Vancouver for five nights in late February 2025. Since we were traveling with a child, choosing where to stay felt a little more important than usual — I wanted somewhere comfortable, practical, and easy to get around from. This Airbnb first caught my eye because it looked beautiful in the photos. The bright living room, large windows, and city view made it feel like somewhere I actually wanted to spend time, not just a place to sleep. The location also seemed convenient for exploring Vancouver, with Science World nearby and downtown not too far away. It also had free parking, a full kitchen, and a washer and dryer in the unit, which all felt like big pluses for a family trip. First Impression
The apartment looked very similar to the photos, which was a relief. It was clean, well organized, and just as pretty in person. Being on the 18th floor made the view even better, and the whole building felt well maintained and secure. Something about it also reminded me of the condo buildings I used to see when I lived in Toronto, which made the place feel strangely familiar.

Inside the Airbnb
The living room and kitchen were probably my favorite part of the apartment. The space felt bright, open, and beautifully put together, and the view from the 18th floor made it even better. There was a dining table right by the windows, so we could eat while looking out over the city, which I really loved. The kitchen had everything we needed for simple meals, and we ended up using it more than I expected. We reheated soup and side dishes from H Mart, brought back takeout, and even cooked steak and ramen a few times. The main bedroom had a walk-in closet, which was really convenient for a five-night stay, and the bed and bedding were soft and comfortable. The bathroom had a separate bathtub and shower, which I also liked. There was also a small second bedroom with a bed. We mostly used it for our luggage, but I think it would work well for an extra adult or an older child. Having a washer and dryer inside the apartment was another big plus, especially while traveling with a three-year-old.

Staying Here with a 3-Year-Old
Staying here with a three-year-old was very comfortable. The open layout between the kitchen and living room made it easy to keep an eye on our daughter while we were doing things around the apartment, and there was plenty of space for the three of us to move around without feeling cramped. She seemed to enjoy exploring the small second bedroom and the balcony, and she also slept well during our stay. I also liked that a crib was available on request, even though we didn’t need one at her age. The building itself was non-smoking, which was another reassuring detail when staying with a young child.

Check-in, Parking & Host
Check-in was simple and mostly contactless. The host remotely let us into the building, and the apartment was already open with the key waiting inside. Check-out was just as easy — we simply left the key inside and headed out. The only small extra step was parking on the first day, since we needed the fob key from inside the apartment to enter the garage. My husband waited with the car while I went upstairs to get it, but after that, having an assigned parking spot made everything easy. The host was also very responsive and friendly throughout our stay. He even stopped by once to say hello, brought our daughter a small toy and some drinks, and chatted with us for a bit. It was a small gesture, but it left a really good impression.

Would I Stay Here Again?
I usually prefer staying somewhere new rather than going back to the same place twice, but I would happily stay here again. Finding an Airbnb abroad that feels clean, comfortable, reliable, and family-friendly is not always easy, so having a place I already trust would be a big plus. I would especially recommend it to families traveling with young children, or anyone planning to explore different parts of Vancouver during their stay. One little memory I still have is seeing the glowing dome of Science World whenever we were heading back to the apartment at night — somehow, that view became part of what I remember about staying here.
